Negative. Best news I've ever had.
I'm going to see Florence + the Machine in Toronto on Wednesday. I bought a (fake) leather jacket for the occasion. I figure if I wear a hoodie underneath, it'll keep me pretty warm, and repel wind. And if you've ever been to downtown Toronto, which everyone ever has, then you know how windy it is.
But the most important part is that I'M GOING TO SEE FLORENCE + THE MACHINE. This should be spectacular and if it's not I will be so disappointed.
In addition to that, I'll probably spend more money than necessary while we're in the city, which will suck in the end. But it's the EXPERIENCE, right..? R-right..?!
And finally:
Michael: What is the difference between a salesman and a saleswoman? Dwight: A saleswoman has a vagina. Michael: It's a joke, Dwight. It's not sex ed class. Dwight: But I'm right? Michael: Yeah. You're right about the difference between a man and a woman, but not about the punchline of the joke alright. The difference between a salesman and a saleswoman is boobs. |

My cat does parkour! REAL TIME! I also found him behind the refrigerator today. He was alive, I'm just a little worried that it's so easy for him to get back there. He thoroughly enjoys chewing on wires, and that's just a bad idea.
Today I have to call OSAP and figure out how I'm supposed to pay back the disgustingly huge amount of money I owe. I've been endlessly searching for a new, better-paying job, but there's just nothing out there. I've been applying for receptionist positions based on the fact that they pay more than I make now. Brooks has even been toying with the idea of applying at Toyota and leaving Bell. It's not the job or anything; it just doesn't pay enough. We're living paycheque to paycheque as it is, and while that usually doesn't bother us, we really want to get our (my) debts paid off. Once those are gone, or lessened, we can start putting substantial amounts of money away for savings or for a house or whatever. And with Christmas coming up? Ugh.. I don't even want to think about it. |

I want to take Brooks to Barcelona. He never wants to do anything, but this is one thing he really really REALLY wants to do. So, someone wanna lend me like.. three thousand dollars? Or know of a get-rich-quick scheme? Selling unwanted DVDs for three bucks a piece isn't really helping.
Oh also, I have gunky gross red swollen itchy eyes. I refuse to believe it is pink eye. But if it is, I got it from this one time I was UFC-ing with Brooks on our living room floor. I'm a lot worse at it than I thought. (I also realize it's not actually referred to as UFC-ing. But in our books, it's absolutely the correct term.) |

Oh, hey! I have an interview at a local radio station tomorrow. I'm pretty much shitting myself, but cross your fingers for me!
Neil Young is releasing a new album next month, and some jerk on TV just made a joke about how it'll be released on "phonograph". Just a few pointers on this:
1. Shut your mouth, Matt Hayes. Neil Young is greater than any other musical artist this country has. 2. Albums are not released on "phonograph", rather they are released on VINYL. This VINYL can either be called a VINYL, an LP, or even ALBUM, if you must. But it is never referred to as a "phonograph". Idiot. 3. Lay off the tanning booth, Hayes. You look like a chewed up piece of leather.
Any who, that's all! Ta ta! |

| I think I'm asking for help. |
[Aug. 15th, 2010: :10:17 am] |
My little brother changed his name on Facebook to "Drake Starkiller". What I gather from this is:
a. I am extremely embarassed to be listed as a sibling on his profile. b. My little brother is a gay porn star...?
In other news, I have a tattoo appointment on Tuesday and I'm having a lot of trouble coming to terms with colour choice. It's my first colour tattoo, and I don't necessarily want it to be my last. It's a tribute tattoo for my Grandmother, and it means the world to me. I get kind of anxious just thinking about it.
It's a classic take on the heart-banner-swallows thing. I was very wary of the design at first, just because who doesn't have a bird tattooed on them (no offense meant whatsoever!)? Anyway, the right side of my body is staying with the same theme, which will probably spill elsewhere I'm sure. I'm keeping it all maritime/naval/classic but updated pieces.
I guess what I'm really worried about is choosing colours for my swallows. I do not want it to be light blue and yellow, which is what I'm seeing a lot of. And taking into consideration the heart is going to bed red, I think there might be some red overload if I used the same colour for my swallows. There's also a bow involved with the violets that are in the piece. So let me summarise:
Heart - Red Violets - Violet and Yellow Banner - Bannery.. colour? Swallows - Undecided Bow - Undecided
My Grandmother did have diabetes, so I thought that'd be a natural choice for the bow, but the Canadian Diabetes Association's bow is SILVER. How unfortunate for me, hah!
Well any help would be appreciated. I know some of you are really creative, and some of you have some work done/are familiar with tattoo's. |

I go to work a half-hour early for the A/C because we can't afford it in our apartment.
I wish we had a basement apartment. |
